Development Sector Partners believes in following comprehensive screening & short listing processes. Our endeavour is to minimize the client’s hiring time and propose best suited potential candidates through a rigorous recruitment and selection methodology outlined below:

Needs Assessment: Identify position requirements. “Map” the market and assist with benchmarking.

Review Job descriptions: Clarify job descriptions following discussions with management

Candidate Acquisition: Source candidates using the Job Description and information provided by the hiring manager.

  • Identify Targets: Competitors across NGOs and industry/corporates
  • Database Targets: Internal proprietary, External database, Media
  • Networking/Headhunting Targets: Known sector contacts, Referencing, Head Hunting

Candidate Evaluation: Discuss the Job Description and offer role clarity. Conduct telephonic screening to assess fitment/adherence to basic hygiene factors (communication skills, cultural fitment, current role, current & expected compensation etc) as well as gauge fitment based on technical skills & capabilities.

Shortlist Preparation: Prepare the shortlist along with a brief synopsis and solicit feedback on each candidate. Refine the shortlist as per defined criteria/ parameters.

Interview set-up: Schedule interviews, and share regular debrief with the candidates and client.

Check references: Conduct a thorough reference check on the candidate.

Manage offers: Development Sector Partners works with the client to determine the compensation/offer and facilitates the offer making process. We work with the candidate through transitioning/resignation and interact and follow up with the candidate till he/she comes on board.

Onward Communication: Assume responsibility for sending hold/ regret letters to candidates who have not been found suitable.

Advertisement release: We support in developing and designing the advertisement content. Keeping in view the volume of hiring involved, geographical spread and budget availability we also recommend and execute sourcing options.

Selection tools: Development Sector Partners develops position specific selection tools including written tests, aptitude tests, group discussion and presentation topics for assessing subject knowledge, skills and attributes. In addition, we design assessment formats & scoring methodology for each assessment tool.

Process documentation: This includes documenting the entire process detailing each recruitment and selection stage. It includes defining the purpose, strategy, recruitment & selection methodology, implementation plan and outcome.
